Windows 10 Tips
1. Customize the Start Menu: You can customize the Start Menu by right clicking on it and selecting “Settings.” From there, you can choose what apps and folders you want to appear on the Start Menu.
2. Use Virtual Desktops: Windows 10 allows you to use multiple desktops, which is great for multitasking. You can create new desktops by pressing Windows Key + Tab and clicking on “New Desktop.”
3. Use Cortana: Cortana is a personal assistant that can help you find information, set reminders, and perform other tasks. You can activate Cortana by clicking on the microphone icon on the taskbar or by saying “Hey Cortana” if you have a microphone.
4. Use Windows Snap: Windows Snap allows you to quickly arrange open windows on your desktop. You can snap a window to the left or right of the screen by dragging it to the edge of the screen.
5. Enable Night Light: Night Light reduces the amount of blue light emitted by your screen, which can help you sleep better at night. You can enable Night Light by going to Settings > System > Display.
6. Use the Windows Key Shortcuts: Windows Key + E opens File Explorer, Windows Key + I opens Settings, and Windows Key + R opens the Run dialog box.
7. Use the Snipping Tool: The Snipping Tool is a built-in screenshot tool that allows you to capture screenshots of your desktop or individual windows. You can open the Snipping Tool by typing “Snipping Tool” in the search bar.
8. Use Storage Sense: Storage Sense is a feature that automatically frees up space on your hard drive by deleting temporary files and other items that you don’t need. You can enable Storage Sense by going to Settings > System > Storage.
9. Use Focus Assist: Focus Assist allows you to block notifications when you need to concentrate on work. You can enable Focus Assist by going to Settings > System > Focus Assist.
10. Customize the Taskbar: You can customize the Taskbar by right clicking on it and selecting “Taskbar Settings.” From there, you can choose what icons appear on the Taskbar and how they are displayed.
